The selection of an appropriate operating system (OS) in educational environments is a critical decision that impacts the functionality, user experience, and overall efficiency. Financial factors, along with the availability and functionality of tools used on these systems, play a crucial role in this selection. Furthermore, the OS affects the user experience, security, and adaptability to learning. Previous research in this area is scarce, and this paper contributes to a better understanding of the OS selection process in education. This paper proposes a novel multi-criteria decision-making approach to evaluate and select the most suitable OS for educational institutions. The methodology integrates the PIPRECIA method for assessing weighted criteria, alongside utility analysis (NWA), enabling a balanced decision-making process between institutional management and IT experts. The evaluation considered the following criteria: performance, cost, security, usability, implementation, support, and documentation. The study compared three popular operating systems: Microsoft Windows 11, GNU Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and Apple macOS 12 using the proposed approach. The results, based on the integrated evaluation of all criteria, indicate that GNU Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (0.562) ranked highest, followed by Microsoft Windows 11 (0.553) and Apple macOS 12 (0.543). This paper emphasizes the importance of objective, group-based decision-making in selecting an OS for education, providing practical insights and guidelines for effective technology integration in academic settings.

The increasing demand for energy-efficient and interconnected smart buildings, particularly in the tourism sector, has driven the adoption of advanced wireless technologies. IoT technologies are crucial in this evolution, improving modern buildings’ functionality and operational efficiency. This study investigates the utilization of various wireless technologies within Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs), including Bluetooth BLE 4.2, Bluetooth BLE 5.0, ZigBee, and Z-Wave, in smart buildings. A multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach, specifically the PIPRECIA-S model, was applied to evaluate these technologies based on criteria such as device connectivity, mobility, low energy consumption, scalability, flexibility, and interoperability. Simulations using the PIPRECIA-S model were conducted to assess technology performance across various real-world scenarios. The results indicate that ZigBee (0.2942) and Bluetooth BLE 5.0 (0.2602) provide superior performance in terms of energy efficiency and scalability, followed by Z-Wave (0.2550) and Bluetooth BLE 4.2 (0.1906). These findings provide decision-makers with data-driven recommendations for selecting the most suitable wireless technologies for smart buildings.

The economic and technical advantages of 3D printing make it a possible replacement for conventional production processes, especially for complex products and small batches. It is important to point out that technological parameters of 3D printing, such as layer thickness, print density, print speed, melting temperature, and table temperature, have a significant impact on the mechanical properties and productivity of parts obtained by 3D printing. Because of all the above, there is a great interest in research in this area. The paper presents the results of testing the tensile strength of the ABS polymer, in which two parameters were varied: the thickness of the print layer (0.39 mm) and the print density of 60–100% in steps of 10% each. The samples were obtained on a ZORTRAX M200+ 3D printer using fused filament deposition (FDM) technology. The selected thickness of the printing layer is relatively large, and with it, parts with lower accuracy and high surface roughness are obtained, although at the same time high productivity is achieved, which can satisfy some requirements. The obtained tensile strength values show that increasing the print density leads to an increase in its value, with a deviation in the sample with a print density of 100%, whereas the tensile strength values are comparable to the values obtained by other authors.

It is hard to envisage any business activity nowadays without the use of computers. The users who in their work utilize computers or some other displays for viewing electronic contents are exposed to the computer vision syndrome effects. This paper defines the computer vision syndrome and explains occurrences of the syndrome, setting out also its consequences. Analysis has been made of the viewpoints of users from the developed EU countries regarding the computer vision syndrome. Comparison has been made of the obtained data with the data showing viewpoints of the users in the Republic of Serbia. The aim of this analysis is to form a comprehensive picture of the computer vision syndrome issues. At the end of the paper, solutions are depicted for reducing the consequences and preventing the computer vision syndrome occurrences.

Based on the literary sources, the first part of the paper deals with the difference between printed and digital media, with special reference to their advantages and setbacks. Nowadays, the use of digital media is on the increase both in everyday and professional life. For example, from the point of view of graphic engineers and designers, the comparison of printed and digital media is of great importance because it directly affects the way in which the design and production of graphic products work. A survey of the opinions of people employed in industries that use printed or digital media was conducted in the second part of the paper. Based on the results of the survey, a conclusion was given on the current attitude of professionals regarding digital and print media.

Scrum is one of the agile process frameworks used for better planning, organization and prioritization of work. Implementing the Scrum methodology in the educational process enables active student participation, teamwork, and the cultivation of problem-solving skills. The paper presents the basics of the Scrum framework, defines roles in the Scrum team, explains Scrum events and artifacts. The problems that may arise during the implementation of Scrum in the teaching process are analysed. The advantages of applying this agile method are emphasized and explanations are given on how the implementation of Scrum in teaching can improve the quality of teaching and learning, as well as the motivation of students.

The current business environment requires an agile approach to software development in order to deliver products quickly and efficiently. This paper explores several different but well-known agile frameworks and analyzes their strengths and weaknesses in the context of large and complex software projects. Through comparison, we discover that each of these frameworks offers specific approaches to scaling project tasks with their unique characteristics. The final choice of framework depends on the specific needs and goals of the organization or the preferences of the decision-making team managers. The paper emphasizes the importance of careful assessment and analysis of each framework, consulting with experts, and gathering feedback in order for organizations to effectively scale their operations on a given project and deliver high-quality products within the set deadlines and expected quality.

In this paper, we analyze the differences and similarities between the two formats of computer graphics and their advantages on the Internet. In practice, raster graphics are used more often, and we tried to detect why this is the case. Science and theory claims that the vector format is better, especially the SVG format, which was created for this, and is still less widely used. The analysis showed that what is used in practice is still a worse solution but also easier, so for that reason it is resorted to. The SVG format has many advantages in addition to better display and greater optimization of size, which is very important on the Internet, there is also the possibility of animation, which gives the web site to which it is applied interactivity, and thus leads to greater user satisfaction (UX). In addition to the above advantages, the already mentioned optimization segment is very important, in addition to loading speed, there is also optimization for search engines (SEO). This shows that the vector format - SVG is the best solution and that, in addition to the graphics itself, it brings a number of advantages that are important on the Internet and thereby achieves a comparative advantage over the competition.

The paper aimed to examine if the mechanical characteristics (tensile strength, elongation, and friction) of the selected flexible packaging materials (BOPP and PET/PE) change after the packaging process. Some researchers have shown that mechanical characteristics can change because of the various effects to which foils are exposed (temperature, transport devices, solvents, etc.). The measurement of tensile strength and elongation was carried out according to SRPS G.S2.734, and the measurement of friction according to ASTM D 1894. The results show that there were no significant changes in the examined mechanical characteristics that could affect the functionality of the packaging.

Иако се штампарске боје на амбалажним материјалима који су у контакту са храном наносе на страни где боја није у директном контакту са храном, могуће су миграције односно пренос састојака из боје. Европске уредбе о материјалима и предметима који долазе у контакт са храном, као и Закон о предметима опште употребе у Републици Србији, су донети са циљем обезбеђења високог нивоа здравља људи. Међутим, посебно законодавство Европске уније у вези са бојама које се користе наматеријалима који су у контату са храном, не постоји. Циљ рада је да се да преглед стања законске регулативе у Европској унији и Републици Србији, са посебним акцентом на проблематику штампарских боја на материјалима који су у контатку са храном.

Rad predstavlja analizu izrade piktograma u okviru vežbi na predmetu Teorijske osnove vizuelnih komunikacija sa temom zaštite od požara i katastrofalnih dogaĊaja. Interesantnost teme leži u tome da tako opasni i ozbiljni dogaĊaji koji mogu da prouzrokuju veliku štetu, treba da stoje u opisu formi malih slika koje definišu prenos informacija-piktograme. Ovi piktogrami stoje u službi zaštite, upozorenja, obaveštenja. TakoĊe, oni se mogu javljati u štampanim brošurama, informacionim punktovima i ili u vidu nalepnjica na pogodnim mestima za njihovo uoĉavanje. Na najugroženijim podruĉjima, trusnim podruĉjima piktogrami mogu imati znaĉajnu ulogu, gde upozoravaju na fiziĉku blizinu opasnosti od stradanja, na mestima gde postoji veliki rizik od materijalnih i prirodnih katastrofa. Naĉin i stilovi prenosa ovako bitnih poruka sa razvojem društva kreću se daljim ikoniĉkim prikazima, ovaj rad treba da ponudi nove opcije za usvajanje u ovako složenim sistemima zaštite.

The goal of every company is to offer the market a product with the best possible quality, i.e., high useful value, which will meet the needs of consumers and thus influence their decision to purchase the product. Nowadays, these decisions are increasingly influenced by environmental aspects. To achieve optimal packaging, various requirements must be met. The evaluation and decision on alternative packaging solutions are influenced by a large number of criteria, which include, first of all, technical-economic criteria, followed by aesthetic, ergonomic, and ecological criteria. It follows from the above that packaging can be seen as a multi-criteria problem, and for its evaluation, generally recognized multi-criteria evaluation methods can be applied. The paper will compare different types of packaging based on environmental criteria such as product protection, circularity, and the environment.

У данашње време штампарска индустрија се суочава са разним изазовима као што су захтеви за мањим тиражима, штампањем по потреби, персонализацијом, различитим захтевима потрошача, брзим економским развојем и др. Овим захтевима у све већој мери одговара дигитална штампа која дигиталне податке, као што су текстови, слике и цртежи преноси са рачунара на дигиталну штампарску машину. Иако дигитална штампа има широку примену у штампи рекламних, пословних и других штампаних производа, њен даљњи развој и примена се очекује у сектору амбалаже, посебно флексибилне.
