In the digital economy, selecting the right e-commerce platform is a strategic decision with significant implications for efficiency and competitiveness. This paper applies a hybrid decision-making framework that integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Net Worth Analysis (NWA) to evaluate five popular e-commerce platforms: Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, and OpenCart. AHP was used to derive weights for evaluation criteria, while NWA incorporated expert assessments of alternatives. Results indicate that security (32%) and functionality (25%) are the most critical factors, followed by maintenance costs (14%) and scalability (11%). The ranking shows Magento as the leading platform (0.575), excelling in security and functionality, while WooCommerce (0.567) is highly flexible and Shopify (0.563) stable though less customizable. PrestaShop (0.505) and OpenCart (0.496) scored lower, making them suitable for smaller businesses. The contribution of this study lies in the integration of AHP-derived weights into the NWA framework under a dual expert panel structure, ensuring methodological independence and reducing bias. This hybrid approach offers both practical implications for digital business strategy and theoretical insights into combining hierarchical and network-based MCDM methods, thereby addressing a research gap in e-commerce software evaluation.

This paper proposes a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework for selecting the optimal AI algorithms in the context of real-time infrared signal detection systems. Five performance criteria were considered, namely the processing speed, detection accuracy, segmentation efficiency, noise robustness and energy efficiency, reflecting the requirements of real-time image processing and embedded computer vision systems. This framework integrates the SWARA method for expert-based criteria weighting with Net Worth Analysis (NWA) for algorithm ranking, enabling a transparent and systematic evaluation. The experimental results show that the Fast R-CNN algorithm achieves the highest overall performance, while algorithms such as EfficientDet obtain lower scores and require further refinement to be effectively used in real-time infrared signal detection applications. To sum up, the proposed method addresses the current lack of structured decision-support tools for selecting among various AI-based infrared signal detection models under operational constraints. The research findings provide actionable guidance for researchers and practitioners developing embedded AI, surveillance and automated monitoring systems.

This paper introduces a new hybrid forecasting architecture that combines Nonlinear Autoregressive (NAR) models, the proxy Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI), and a Nonlinear Autoregressive with Exogenous Inputs (NARX) framework for Soil Moisture Index (SMI) prediction. The suggested methodology solves the crucial difficulty of combining future climatic knowledge into soil moisture forecasting by using a cascaded approach. Stage 1 uses univariate NAR models to create multi-step-ahead predictions of precipitation and temperature. Stage 2 converts these forecasts into proxy SPEI values using a physically based water balance computation, and Stage 3 employs a NARX model that uses observed historical SMI and forecast-derived proxy SPEI as exogenous inputs. The framework is assessed using high-frequency observations from 2014 to 2020, with training data through 2019 and validation covering the whole 2020 horizon. The study combining forecast-driven climatic indicators with autoregressive soil moisture dynamics resulted in prediction accuracy (R2 = 0.9888, RMSE = 0.0827, MAE = 0.0567). This study presents a new NAR–SPEI–NARX model for SMI prediction forecasting, based on three-stage modeling, where NAR models forecast precipitation and temperature and then turn them into SPEI-proxy as an exogenous input for NARX.

This study applies the PIPRECIA-S model to evaluate and prioritize artificial intelligence (AI) applications in higher education. The aim is to identify which AI-driven solutions offer the greatest potential for improving teaching, learning and institutional management. Seven relevant criteria were defined based on the literature and expert consultation: pedagogical effectiveness, student engagement, adaptability, ease of implementation, data security, cost efficiency and long-term sustainability. Four AI applications were selected for evaluation: adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, predictive analytics for student success and automated administrative tools. A panel of five domain experts independently provided pairwise comparisons to weight the criteria, while a separate panel assessed the alternatives. The results indicate that Adaptive Learning Systems achieved the highest overall score (4.375), followed by Intelligent Tutoring Systems (4.107) and Predictive Analytics (4.062), while Administrative Tools (3.647) ranked lowest. These findings highlight the pedagogical priority of AI solutions that directly enhance learning outcomes and student retention. The paper contributes by demonstrating how multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) models, such as PIPRECIA-S, can support evidence-based policy and strategic planning in higher education, providing both theoretical insights and practical guidelines for sustainable AI integration.

Background: Chronic low back pain is a leading cause of disability worldwide, necessitating effective interventions to alleviate pain and improve function. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of stabilization exercises for pain relief and disability reduction in patients with chronic low back pain. Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted following PRISMA and Cochrane guidelines. Randomized controlled trials evaluating stabilization exercises for chronic low back pain were included. Subgroup analyses were performed based on treatment duration, type of pain (specific vs. non-specific), study quality, and exercise type. Effect sizes were calculated using standardized mean differences (SMD), and evidence quality was assessed using the GRADE tool. Results: A total of 23 studies involving 1132 participants were included. The meta-analysis revealed that longer treatment durations (8–12 weeks) showed the strongest effects on pain reduction (SMD = −0.88) and disability improvement (SMD = −0.85). For pain type, non-specific low back pain responded better (SMD = −0.81 for pain, −0.73 for disability) compared to specific LBP (SMD = −0.61 and −0.42, respectively). The 6-week duration also demonstrated moderate effects (SMD = −0.72 for pain). Core stability exercises had superior pain reduction (SMD = −0.90, large effect) compared to spinal stability exercises (SMD = −0.57), while spinal stability exercises showed higher-quality evidence for disability improvement (SMD = −0.56, high-quality) versus core stability (SMD = −0.62, low-quality). Conclusion: Stabilization exercises are a highly effective intervention for chronic low back pain, offering significant pain relief and functional improvement. They outperform other common interventions and should be prioritized in clinical practice, particularly in longer-duration, supervised programs. These findings provide strong evidence to guide treatment protocols and improve outcomes for patients with chronic low back pain.

This paper applies a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model that integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for structured weighting of evaluation criteria with the Net Worth Analysis (NWA) method for value-based aggregation of scores. The proposed framework was employed to evaluate Learning Management Systems (LMS) in higher education, involving two independent expert panels representing management and IT perspectives. Results of the AHP analysis show that cost (28%), security (22%), and usability (17%) are the most influential criteria in the decision-making process, reflecting institutional priorities for financial efficiency, safety and ease of use. Based on the combined AHP-NWA model, Moodle 4.3 emerged as the most sustainable choice (0.586), followed by Atutor 2.2.1 (0.541) and Blackboard (SaaS edition) (0.490). The inclusion of sensitivity and scenario analyses confirmed the robustness of the model, demonstrating that the ranking of alternatives remains stable under variations in weighting factors and different strategic priorities. By framing LMS evaluation within the context of sustainable digital transformation, the study emphasizes how transparent and systematic decision-making supports long-term institutional resilience and aligns with the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In addition, the framework contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), by guiding higher education institutions toward inclusive, resilient and cost-effective digital solutions.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision technologies are increasingly integrated into educational environments through intelligent tutoring systems, gesture-based learning, facial expression analysis, and automated evaluation tools. However, selecting the most appropriate image recognition algorithms for educational applications remains a challenge due to varying requirements regarding speed, accuracy, hardware compatibility, and usability in dynamic classroom conditions. This paper proposes a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model based on the Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and Net Worth Analysis (NWA) methods to evaluate and rank nine widely used AI-based visual recognition algorithms. The evaluation is conducted using five education-relevant criteria: processing speed, recognition accuracy, robustness to classroom noise, compatibility with low-end devices, and energy efficiency. Expert assessments from the field of educational technology were used to derive weight coefficients and evaluate algorithm performance. The results show that Fast R-CNN achieved the highest overall score (1.141), followed by U-Net (1.077) and DeepLab (1.062), indicating their suitability for real-time and resource-constrained EdTech environments. Algorithms such as MobileNet (1.057) and YOLO (1.037) also demonstrated balanced performance, making them viable for mobile or moderately demanding educational scenarios. The proposed model offers a structured and transparent decision-support framework that can assist researchers and practitioners in selecting optimal AI algorithms for diverse educational applications.

Introduction: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to systematically assess the effect size of conservative methods based on exercise for respondents with idiopathic scoliosis. Methods: This study was developed in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. The PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases were searched in May 2023. The key search terms were “Idiopathic scoliosis”, “Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis”, “Cobb angle”, “Angle of trunk rotation”, “Quality of life”, “Schroth method”, and “Core stabilization exercises”. Risk of bias was assessed for each randomized trial using the Cochrane risk of bias tool, and the methodological index for non-randomized studies. The outcomes included Cobb angle, angle of trunk rotation (ATR), forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), and quality of life (QoL). R 4.0.5 software was used, and standardized mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated for continuous outcomes using a random model. Results: In total, 23 studies were included. Depending on the outcome measured, the effect size of the different methods in the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis ranged from small to large as follows: Cobb angle (SMD = −0.43, p < 0.0001), ATR (SMD = −0.25, p = 0.06), FVC (SMD = 0.48, p = 0.03), FEV1 (SMD = 0.51, p = 0.004), and QoL (SMD = 0.95, p < 0.0001). Conclusion: Our meta-analysis indicates the positive effects of applying conservative methods based on therapeutic exercises on patients with idiopathic scoliosis.

The increasing demand for energy-efficient and interconnected smart buildings, particularly in the tourism sector, has driven the adoption of advanced wireless technologies. IoT technologies are crucial in this evolution, improving modern buildings’ functionality and operational efficiency. This study investigates the utilization of various wireless technologies within Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs), including Bluetooth BLE 4.2, Bluetooth BLE 5.0, ZigBee, and Z-Wave, in smart buildings. A multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach, specifically the PIPRECIA-S model, was applied to evaluate these technologies based on criteria such as device connectivity, mobility, low energy consumption, scalability, flexibility, and interoperability. Simulations using the PIPRECIA-S model were conducted to assess technology performance across various real-world scenarios. The results indicate that ZigBee (0.2942) and Bluetooth BLE 5.0 (0.2602) provide superior performance in terms of energy efficiency and scalability, followed by Z-Wave (0.2550) and Bluetooth BLE 4.2 (0.1906). These findings provide decision-makers with data-driven recommendations for selecting the most suitable wireless technologies for smart buildings.

Combat sports are very demanding in terms of physical fitness as well as the risk of injury. Elite athletes during daily training due to specific movements can develop significant muscle asymmetry that can affect injury. The aim of this study was to systematically review the existing literature with respect to total average value of hamstrings- to-quadriceps (H/Q) 60°·s-1 and H/Q 180°·s-1 in judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling. We placed special emphasis on sex-based differences and possible asymmetries between legs in terms of isokinetic performance. This document was developed and reported in accordance with the Guidelines for Preferred Reports for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA). Web of Science, PubMed and Google Scholar were searched for the relevant studies. Studies were included in the review if they were original and written in English and had to have H/Q ratio measured as an outcome. In total, data from 243 athletes from eleven studies included studies was analysed. The Mean of H/Q 60°·s-1 for all sports were: 58.33% for the right leg and 58.91% for the left leg. Women had higher values: 59.38% vs. 57.42% for the right leg and 61.35% vs. 56.56% for the left leg. The Mean of H/Q 180°·s-1 for all sports were: 71.44% for the right leg and 71.35% for the left leg. Women had higher values: 75.76% vs. 69.04% for the right leg and 73.39% vs. 70.33% for the left leg. All these values, combined for all sports, and divided into subgroups according to gender, show that they are within the recommended values. Combined results for all included studies showed that there was no asymmetry between the left and right leg. According to the results of the balance of the mentioned agonists and antagonists, which are crucial for knee joint stabilization during dynamic muscle contractions, we can conclude that athletes in combat sports do not represent a risk group.

The modern way of life and work tasks of computer and informatics engineers also require knowledge of working with computer graphics. This segment is mostly neglected or very little applied, so engineers during their education at the faculties acquire minimal or almost no knowledge about this area. This field has been widely applied in recent decades in various software and experts of that profile and knowledge are in great demand on the market. In this paper, we deal with the basic knowledge that we believe that every engineer dealing with digital products should possess. We have proposed subjects that could be studied so that future experts from the faculty would be more competent in the field of computer graphics. The primary goal of this paper is to encourage experts and creators of new programs at colleges to consider the application of these programs to acquire defined skills that would give users greater opportunities in choosing the final occupation and specialization.

Purpose Conservative approaches such as Schroth exercises and core stabilization exercises showed effective results in the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis. This study aimed to critically evaluate the magnitude effect of Schroth and core stabilization exercises using a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods This study has been developed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement. The following three databases were searched for articles collection: Web of Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The key search terms were: Schroth exercise, core exercise, idiopathic scoliosis, Cobb angle, angle of trunk rotation, and quality of life. The articles included in our study was limited to original articles written only in English that met the following inclusion criteria: (1) Participants with idiopathic scoliosis; (2) Schroth exercises and core stabilization exercises used as interventions; (3) Cobb angle or angle of trunk rotation or quality of life used as outcome measures. Results Thirteen studies were included. Depending on the outcome measured, the magnitude effect of Schroth and core stabilization exercises ranged from small to almost large as follows: Cobb angle (SMD = – 0.376, p ˂ 0.001); angle of trunk rotation (SMD = – 0.268, p = 0.104); quality of life (SMD = 0.774, p = 0.002). By subgroup analysis, Schroth method showed a larger effect size than core stabilization exercises. Conclusion The current systematic review and meta-analysis indicates that both Schroth method and core stabilization exercises have a positive effect in subjects with idiopathic scoliosis. In this paper, we present a simple model that should lead to easier mastering of programming among students. The model is based on the study of one programming language, which should directly develop all the necessary knowledge of students and thus enable easier continuation of independent learning and integration into other programming languages. Through, we have processed the behavior of the Python programming language with algorithms but also with other popular programming languages such as Java and C ++. We only looked at the problem of programming through procedural and object-oriented programming using the Python programming language. The ultimate goal of the paper is to offer a new model that provides an effective approach to teaching students the basics of programming using a single programming language. The application of one programming language should lead to easier and deeper mastering of programming knowledge. In this paper, we recommend Python as an excellent choice for teaching object-oriented programming. Although often viewed as a "scripting" language, Python is a completely object-oriented language with a consistent object model and a rich set of built-in classes. Based on our experiences in teaching and working with students, we propose this model as a potential solution for faster and easier development of new skills in the field of programming

The paper is dedicated to the use of a very simple and accessible device that was created with the idea to serve as a platform for training computer science students. The Raspberry Pi did not claim to become a high-circulation product, but due to its performance, it became one. Primarily due to its low price followed by a wide range of possible practical applications. This device became very popular and enabled the development of IoT that are applied in various production processes. This paper presents a case study where this device is used in small production plants. The Python programming language is used to run this device, which is very simple but also very efficient. This combination of hardware and software has performed well in small, non-hardware-intensive manufacturing facilities. In addition to the incomparably more affordable price compared to commercial PLCs, it is often even a superior solution. The advantages are especially the easy integration into existing information systems and uncomplicated extensions and upgrades. It is also possible to integrate it into existing software solutions without major difficulties. The example described in this paper certainly represents a successful implementation that includes production planning, organization and monitoring of the production process (workflow) and worker efficiency.

The aim of this paper is to help beginners to choose the appropriate framework for learning and further development with the help of experienced users. With this choice, the users experience is very important - the framework that the user chooses can be used later in further development. This selected framework helps the user to dedicate himself exclusively to the solution and to get the most out of it and himself, rather than wandering between different solutions returning each time to the beginning of mastering a new tool. The paper presents all eight frameworks that have been presented and, based on research, offers a recommendation of experienced users that the solution chooses for beginners, while allowing an easier start and advanced web development.

This study aims to determine which auxiliary asset – S&P500, SHCOMP, the U.S. 10Y bond, gold, Brent or corn, in combination with Bitcoin has the best downside risk- minimizing performances. Six portfolios are constructed via an optimal DCC-GARCH model, while for downside risk measures, we use parametric and semiparametric Value- at-Risk and Conditional Value-at-Risk. All selected auxiliary assets have very low dynamic correlation with Bitcoin, which classifies them as good diversifiers. According to parametric results, S&P500 has the best downside risk-minimizing output, while SHCOMP and gold take second and third place. However, when higher moments of portfolios are taken into account, the results change significantly. Due to very high kurtosis and negative skewness, portfolio with S&P500 has among the worst semiparametric downside risk results. On the other hand, SHCOMP index and gold have relatively favourable third and fourth moments’ characteristics, which pushes them to the first and second place of the best auxiliary assets when modified downside risk measures are at stake. We also calculate Sharpe ratio, which suggests that portfolio with gold has by far the best return/risk characteristics.

Energy supply remains the greatest challenge for many of Eastern European countries and their economy. In post-soviet and ex-Yugoslavian countries, till today there exists a system where some of the power plants rely on high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) power grids in the process of distribution of electric energy (EE) to final consumers. This makes them vulnerable to solar storms due to HV power transformers which are especially sensitive to geomagnetic induced current (GIC). The acquisition of electrical power infrastructure could put the electrical infrastructure out of service from a couple of months to a year or more. Loss of income, for ordinary families, is a primary hazard of a long power outage. Business continuity of industry and other critical infrastructures (CI) is important in this scenario, but it is a significant challenge for small businesses and enterprises as well. This paper introduces ISO 31000 standard to such scenarios with the primary goal of achieving resilience of companies against such disaster as a new method of vial response to avoid scope of similar hazards.

In the flexo printing process, flexible food packaging materials are exposed to various effects (solvents, temperature, transport devices, etc.), that impact the quality of food packaging materials. Although, literature is available on the impact of these factors on the quality of food packaging, there are very few papers examining the impact of the flexo printing process on food packaging materials. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to examine if there are any changes occurring in tensile strength, elongation before tearing and gas permeability after the flexographic printing process regarding the selected flexible packaging materials – oriented polypropylene (OPP) and coated paper/polyethylene (PAP/PE). The measurement of tensile strength and elongation before tearing was carried out according to SRPS G.S2.734, and the measurement of gas permeability according to Lussy Method - DIN 53380. The results presented in this paper show that the tensile strength and elongation in both foil samples increased after the printing process (a higher increase of strength is determined in the PAP/PE foil). The exception is the PAP/PE sample, where increased permeability of N2 was observed. The reason for such results could be due to different surface characteristics of the tested materials since the process of ink absorption is different. Surface tension tests were conducted by applying measurements of the contact angle. The results show that the process of flexo printing did not change the functional properties of the packaging.

Today’s global, knowledge-based society and economy need creative thinkers in all fields: engineering, medicine, arts, entrepreneurship and education. Educational institutions are tasked with finding new ways of encouraging students to become creative both as individuals and groups. Still, motivation and creativity are only a few of the primary educational goals. They are ambiguous by nature, theoretical, and hard to implement in the real world. Nevertheless, it is a common belief that creativity is an important trait that students should possess in order to face the quickly evolving world. The purpose of this study is to examine the related published works on games, software, imagination, education and creativity. We seek to gather useful information that would both draw attention to this problem and how Open-Source Software (OSS), as a model, can drive students’ creativity.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) became an essential element of all spheres of life. The great opportunities these technologies provide are insufficiently used in many developing countries and one of the reasons for this is the lack of equipment. The aim of this paper is to present new areas for researches in the field of information systems, as well as showcase the opportunities and impacts of Open Source Software. The paper compares Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux Ubuntu operating systems, the applicability and superiority of which have long been debated in the world of information technologies. The paper determines the possibilities for the prolonged use of old hardware by using open source software. In order to prove the applicability of these systems on old hardware, we have conducted tests that indicate the possibility of using both systems on the same hardware architectures.

The development and use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), and in particular the Internet, have changed the way businesses operate in the last twenty years, providing a number of new opportunities for improving innovation and competitiveness. Today, modern ICT is considered to be the basis for the development of a knowledge society, in which the concept of e-government plays a special role. The main goal of this paper was to examine the perceptions of business users, in terms of perceived barriers and benefits achieved, from the use of electronic public administration services. The survey included 500 companies with the highest business income in Serbia. The data collected were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient, Mann Whitney’s test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The results of the research showed that the level of acceptance of electronic services is still lower than expected, given the volume of services offered. Also, this study pointed to the need to raise the level of awareness of businesses about e-government services, as well as the need to improve the quality of electronic services, in terms of complete digitization, alignment with enterprise requirements and regular updating of data.
