Artificial intelligence is not only the future, but also the ubiquitous present, which is rapidly affecting all segments and all spheres of business, as well as private life. The question of its use and expediency is not raised at all, but more and more people are thinking about the need and role of people and their reasoning in the future business environment and decision-making. In these circumstances, it is especially important to pay attention to managers, leaders, their role, but above all to the education and training of future generations who should be qualified to respond to modern challenges. The dilemma faced by a large number of scientists, as well as a large number of managers, is "which intelligence will be dominant in future decision-making". The title of this paper clearly depicts that dilemma, and the paper should provide enough elements for reflection, and point to possible directions of movement, primarily in education, but also in the management profession itself.

The pandemic of the Sars-Cov-2 virus and the infectious disease Kovid-19 paralysed the world in a short time. Countries had closed their borders and introduced restrictive measures to stop the spread of the infection, facing the biggest health crisis of the 21st century. The measures taken had consequences on all aspects of life: health, social, economic. In addition to the immeasurable impact on health systems and the huge loss of human life, the pandemic has greatly affected the teaching and learning processes at all levels of education. Educational institutions had to organize online classes and design new learning systems. In this paper, we will review the previous knowledge and research of the learning and teaching processes in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then we will present the solutions and organization of the teaching process at the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies in Belgrade through the e-Learning system developed by the employees for the needs of students and professors of the University (e-ucenje.kpu.edu.rs). The system was designed and launched in the shortest possible time, enabling the University to organize audio-visual e-classrooms, deposit materials, organize consultations and meetings. The e- Learning system is accessed through the website of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies, with a username and password unique for each teacher and student. This method of organizing teaching at the University has proven to be successful.

Nowadays, dealing with natural disasters is becoming more and more challenging due to climate changes that lead to more frequent and intense natural disasters. Traditional protection and rescue methods are often not sufficient to meet all the challenges posed by these disasters. Therefore, the integration of new technologies becomes crucial for more effective risk management. Research of various aspects use of modern technologies in prevention, detection, response and restoration, in the context of natural disasters, it is necessary to focus on innovative approaches. By using artificial intelligence (AI), drones, sensor technologies, advanced communication systems, and the NICS system (Next- Generation Incident Command System), the goals of protecting civilian populations, reducing damage and improving the efficiency of rescue operations are achieved. Since 2016, the ARCECP Project (Advanced Regional …

This paper examines the issue of training and education of detectives as one of the prerequisites for high-quality and efficient performance of detective work. It is considered that the training should be, to the greatest extent possible, adapted to specific jobs and areas of detective work. Also, training should be part of the overall process of integrating detectives into the security system, that is, the private security sector. The concepts of detective training differ from country to country in terms of the content and structure of the program, duration, organization of implementation or non- implementation, which all together makes it very difficult to compare the results. There is no absolute standardization in this area, as well as relevant research on this topic and related areas. In this regard, the authors emphasize that detective training is an insufficiently researched issue that should be given much more attention. For the purposes of this paper, a comparative legal analysis of the legal regulations and by- laws that treat the models of detective training in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding countries - the Republic of Serbia, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia - was performed. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that different systems of training and education of candidates are in force, from the classic model where the curriculum is implemented according to the subject-modular concept, to mentoring work and internship practice. The aim of this work is to encourage a more comprehensive study of the training and education of detectives and to propose more adequate models suitable for the current time and the detective field of work.

Innovations are present in all fields of human activity. Therefore, they are an indispensable segment of the activities of higher-educational institutions which are going through a very demanding process of development towards future forms of educational, scientific and research work. Higher education activities imply a continuous monitoring of innovations, and their application in the educational process. The aforementioned activities are also related to the academic library, which is an unavoidable factor in the process of carrying out scientific and educational work, and is, unlike the public library, closely related to innovative processes in education and the performance of scientific activities. Using innovative methods and solutions, along with transformational processes, the library must satisfy its users with knowledgeable staff, who are ready to answer questions and meet the challenges of increasingly demanding modern users. For this reason, employees in higher education libraries are obliged to continuously improve their level of education, and to constantly keep up with modern trends, with a particular emphasis on respecting what is prescribed by the principles of the code of ethics and the legal regulations in the field of library work, as well as in the field of activities of higher- educational institutions and the protection of intellectual property. In order for this entire process to be implemented, the management of these institutions must invest all their effort and knowledge into reaching their goals through efficient organisation and a strategy that will lead to a high quality of service and a competitive advantage in this market.

The investments in digital technologies are expected to soon have a major impact on the textile and fashion companies’ sustainability and competitiveness. Motivated by these trends empirical research on investments of the fashion and textile companies in ICT technologies- based advancement in the Serbian case was provided in 2022. Representatives of 423 textile and fashion companies were asked about their investments in various digital technologies in the previous three years and their digital transformation status. The research findings show that investments in cloud computing, IT, energy management, automation, robotics, and machine learning technologies have a significant impact on the digital transformation of companies. Most of them reached a medium level of transformation, fewer than a high level, with many textile and fashion companies just defining digital transformation. The contribution of the research findings to the investments in the companies’ digital transformation can be seen in the significance of the textile’s digital technology implementation, which enables manufacturers and retailers to respond directly to market demand by reducing product lead time and cost, increasing supply chain efficiency and profitability, and promising in terms of ensuring competitive advantage in the risk and challenging business environment.

In times of increasingly pronounced climate change, wildfires are among the key threats to forest ecosystems and pose a global environmental and economic problem. Montenegro's forests are particularly endangered due to its geographical position and the increasingly adverse climate effects. Wildfires occur as a causal link between climatic and meteorological conditions, humidity of forest cover, and plant vegetation with social activities in the area concerned (revised Forestry Development Strategy, 2018). Increasing attention is being paid to improving risk assessment and early warning using modern information systems to mitigate the wildfire risk preventively. Research on the capability and capacity of responsible institutions in Montenegro for establishing an information system is particularly important for wildfire risk management. The research showed that Montenegro's capabilities and capacities for risk assessment and early warning of wildfires are limited. The research showed that the system could be improved by establishing a single national wildfire information system. Various forms of early warning and wildfire risk management systems applied, including the Macedonian Forest Fire Information System (MKFFIS), Croatian’s Integral Forest Fire Monitoring System (in Croatian IPNAS), and others, have already shown a high level of efficiency. Through a systemic approach, a large part of the tools used by these systems could be realistically developed and subsequently upgraded, taking into account their modularity in terms of software and hardware.
