In the digital economy, selecting the right e-commerce platform is a strategic decision with significant implications for efficiency and competitiveness. This paper applies a hybrid decision-making framework that integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Net Worth Analysis (NWA) to evaluate five popular e-commerce platforms: Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, and OpenCart. AHP was used to derive weights for evaluation criteria, while NWA incorporated expert assessments of alternatives. Results indicate that security (32%) and functionality (25%) are the most critical factors, followed by maintenance costs (14%) and scalability (11%). The ranking shows Magento as the leading platform (0.575), excelling in security and functionality, while WooCommerce (0.567) is highly flexible and Shopify (0.563) stable though less customizable. PrestaShop (0.505) and OpenCart (0.496) scored lower, making them suitable for smaller businesses. The contribution of this study lies in the integration of AHP-derived weights into the NWA framework under a dual expert panel structure, ensuring methodological independence and reducing bias. This hybrid approach offers both practical implications for digital business strategy and theoretical insights into combining hierarchical and network-based MCDM methods, thereby addressing a research gap in e-commerce software evaluation.

Background: Chronic low back pain is a leading cause of disability worldwide, necessitating effective interventions to alleviate pain and improve function. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of stabilization exercises for pain relief and disability reduction in patients with chronic low back pain. Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted following PRISMA and Cochrane guidelines. Randomized controlled trials evaluating stabilization exercises for chronic low back pain were included. Subgroup analyses were performed based on treatment duration, type of pain (specific vs. non-specific), study quality, and exercise type. Effect sizes were calculated using standardized mean differences (SMD), and evidence quality was assessed using the GRADE tool. Results: A total of 23 studies involving 1132 participants were included. The meta-analysis revealed that longer treatment durations (8–12 weeks) showed the strongest effects on pain reduction (SMD = −0.88) and disability improvement (SMD = −0.85). For pain type, non-specific low back pain responded better (SMD = −0.81 for pain, −0.73 for disability) compared to specific LBP (SMD = −0.61 and −0.42, respectively). The 6-week duration also demonstrated moderate effects (SMD = −0.72 for pain). Core stability exercises had superior pain reduction (SMD = −0.90, large effect) compared to spinal stability exercises (SMD = −0.57), while spinal stability exercises showed higher-quality evidence for disability improvement (SMD = −0.56, high-quality) versus core stability (SMD = −0.62, low-quality). Conclusion: Stabilization exercises are a highly effective intervention for chronic low back pain, offering significant pain relief and functional improvement. They outperform other common interventions and should be prioritized in clinical practice, particularly in longer-duration, supervised programs. These findings provide strong evidence to guide treatment protocols and improve outcomes for patients with chronic low back pain.

This paper applies a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model that integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for structured weighting of evaluation criteria with the Net Worth Analysis (NWA) method for value-based aggregation of scores. The proposed framework was employed to evaluate Learning Management Systems (LMS) in higher education, involving two independent expert panels representing management and IT perspectives. Results of the AHP analysis show that cost (28%), security (22%), and usability (17%) are the most influential criteria in the decision-making process, reflecting institutional priorities for financial efficiency, safety and ease of use. Based on the combined AHP-NWA model, Moodle 4.3 emerged as the most sustainable choice (0.586), followed by Atutor 2.2.1 (0.541) and Blackboard (SaaS edition) (0.490). The inclusion of sensitivity and scenario analyses confirmed the robustness of the model, demonstrating that the ranking of alternatives remains stable under variations in weighting factors and different strategic priorities. By framing LMS evaluation within the context of sustainable digital transformation, the study emphasizes how transparent and systematic decision-making supports long-term institutional resilience and aligns with the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In addition, the framework contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), by guiding higher education institutions toward inclusive, resilient and cost-effective digital solutions.

The selection of an appropriate operating system (OS) in educational environments is a critical decision that impacts the functionality, user experience, and overall efficiency. Financial factors, along with the availability and functionality of tools used on these systems, play a crucial role in this selection. Furthermore, the OS affects the user experience, security, and adaptability to learning. Previous research in this area is scarce, and this paper contributes to a better understanding of the OS selection process in education. This paper proposes a novel multi-criteria decision-making approach to evaluate and select the most suitable OS for educational institutions. The methodology integrates the PIPRECIA method for assessing weighted criteria, alongside utility analysis (NWA), enabling a balanced decision-making process between institutional management and IT experts. The evaluation considered the following criteria: performance, cost, security, usability, implementation, support, and documentation. The study compared three popular operating systems: Microsoft Windows 11, GNU Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and Apple macOS 12 using the proposed approach. The results, based on the integrated evaluation of all criteria, indicate that GNU Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (0.562) ranked highest, followed by Microsoft Windows 11 (0.553) and Apple macOS 12 (0.543). This paper emphasizes the importance of objective, group-based decision-making in selecting an OS for education, providing practical insights and guidelines for effective technology integration in academic settings.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision technologies are increasingly integrated into educational environments through intelligent tutoring systems, gesture-based learning, facial expression analysis, and automated evaluation tools. However, selecting the most appropriate image recognition algorithms for educational applications remains a challenge due to varying requirements regarding speed, accuracy, hardware compatibility, and usability in dynamic classroom conditions. This paper proposes a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model based on the Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and Net Worth Analysis (NWA) methods to evaluate and rank nine widely used AI-based visual recognition algorithms. The evaluation is conducted using five education-relevant criteria: processing speed, recognition accuracy, robustness to classroom noise, compatibility with low-end devices, and energy efficiency. Expert assessments from the field of educational technology were used to derive weight coefficients and evaluate algorithm performance. The results show that Fast R-CNN achieved the highest overall score (1.141), followed by U-Net (1.077) and DeepLab (1.062), indicating their suitability for real-time and resource-constrained EdTech environments. Algorithms such as MobileNet (1.057) and YOLO (1.037) also demonstrated balanced performance, making them viable for mobile or moderately demanding educational scenarios. The proposed model offers a structured and transparent decision-support framework that can assist researchers and practitioners in selecting optimal AI algorithms for diverse educational applications.

Introduction: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to systematically assess the effect size of conservative methods based on exercise for respondents with idiopathic scoliosis. Methods: This study was developed in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. The PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases were searched in May 2023. The key search terms were “Idiopathic scoliosis”, “Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis”, “Cobb angle”, “Angle of trunk rotation”, “Quality of life”, “Schroth method”, and “Core stabilization exercises”. Risk of bias was assessed for each randomized trial using the Cochrane risk of bias tool, and the methodological index for non-randomized studies. The outcomes included Cobb angle, angle of trunk rotation (ATR), forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), and quality of life (QoL). R 4.0.5 software was used, and standardized mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated for continuous outcomes using a random model. Results: In total, 23 studies were included. Depending on the outcome measured, the effect size of the different methods in the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis ranged from small to large as follows: Cobb angle (SMD = −0.43, p < 0.0001), ATR (SMD = −0.25, p = 0.06), FVC (SMD = 0.48, p = 0.03), FEV1 (SMD = 0.51, p = 0.004), and QoL (SMD = 0.95, p < 0.0001). Conclusion: Our meta-analysis indicates the positive effects of applying conservative methods based on therapeutic exercises on patients with idiopathic scoliosis.

The current business environment requires an agile approach to software development in order to deliver products quickly and efficiently. This paper explores several different but well-known agile frameworks and analyzes their strengths and weaknesses in the context of large and complex software projects. Through comparison, we discover that each of these frameworks offers specific approaches to scaling project tasks with their unique characteristics. The final choice of framework depends on the specific needs and goals of the organization or the preferences of the decision-making team managers. The paper emphasizes the importance of careful assessment and analysis of each framework, consulting with experts, and gathering feedback in order for organizations to effectively scale their operations on a given project and deliver high-quality products within the set deadlines and expected quality.
